Oh, I agree. Wherever did this idea come from that fashion designers should be bold and experimental. If I go to Fashion Week, I want to see wearable. I want to see pleated khakis. Short-sleeve button-downs in non-offensive colors. I want to see comfortable jeans that go well with polo shirts. I want to see navy blazers paired with robin's-egg-blue button-down shirts and olive pants with brown woven belts. I. Want. To. See. Loafers. I do not want to see some goth Harry Potter convention.

O.K. Enjoy the goth Harry Potter convention. Don't forget to bring some herbal tea. Those types love their herbal tea.

walking through Macy's the other day I got picked to be a runway model. there's a class Saturday at 1, then a show at 4! and I bought $200 worth of Dockers stuff to wear- I also picked out a purle scarf to add some splash!
I'm getting pix later today ($500) then I'll be registered as a MODEL on a computer database ($50/month) that AGENCIES can access. they can see my head shots along with an evaluation of my runway work. I will probably get work.
so me? I go to high fashion shows for the CASH motherfucker. Now?

Yeah, but Browne mailed it in in the other direction. You're like a pair of bookends in tulle miniskirts.

Oh the faint praise damning that is to be selected as a Dockers model. The Wonder Bread of the modeling world. Still, congratulations are in order, and I am genuinely excited to hear about how the class and show go. Keep us updated!

In fairness to Browne, the model on the right appears to be a tennis player. If he takes off the lacy number, loses the tail, and finds some shoes, he's got an outfit going that could maybe work on the court.

In further fairness to Browne, he has been reworking the menswear silhouette successfully for a while now, so, gentlemen, prepare for the tulle.

But isn't the coupe de grass the model? I mean, I know there are a lot of haggard anorexic junkies in the modeling world, but usually they were at least once attractive, say, when they were 16. That guy probably spent his teen years having his dungeons and dragons buddies make fun of him for being such a loser.

Well, the silhouette does not seem to be all that radically re-worked in this little number, other than maybe the headpiece. And even the headpiece is not too far off what one might find in Minnesota in early January.

Is boy cellulite an okay look? and follow up, is there a way to minimize showing the backs of one's legs on the runway?
