Great scotch doesn't cost a few extra grand. A really nice, 25-yo bottle of scotch is good to have around. It's a relatively cheap way to pamper the hell out of yourself.

Hhmmmm, I would beg to differ, but the last wedding we were at I ended up in the coatroom with a pair of cute 20-something waitresses, so I missed a lot of the action at the bar, although in fairness, I heard that it was a former A-list poster (and thus by definition not Weed) who got drunkest of the night, that night.

And someone with enough clarity to remind you that after the [first] 25 year old bottle is drained there are diminishing returns to opening another 25 yo bottle as your palatte will appreciate a 10 yo bottle just as much at that point.
