 | The time is gone, the thread is over, thought we'd something more to say.

yesterday I checked out of the Hotel Sacher- I always wonder where tip money should go.
based upon prior advice I left Euros for the maid.

now the doorman who opened a door for me all week? only once was it really helpful, still, do you slip him a 5?

the concierge? he didn't really do much, other that real simple stuff- "here's is where you should run." he also was the one who set up my purchase of internet connections each day BUT I find it offensive that a luxury hotel makes me buy internet, so I don't want to tip for that. Does this boil down to whether they actually got you tickets or something?

also, is all of this location dependent? like waiter tips in austria are 10%- more is excessive, so do you tip the maid more in the states than Europe?

Looking at the coverage, there were celebrities there that made no sense to me. The Kardashian sisters? Mickey Rooney? Did they even know him? I think Diana Ross and Elizabeth Taylor had the right idea to avoid the hoopla and remember him in private.
 | I'm embarrassed to know this, but Kim Kardashian had her 14th birthday party at Neverland Ranch. Not sure if that means she knew him or not, but it's a connection. And no, I've actually never seen a single episode of the Kardashian's reality show.

I wondered why they were "famous." Being on a reality show about your life sounds dreadful. |

Which then lead to oh-so-preciuos moments on the reality show when Playboy wanted her to get naked.

I am more than a little ashamed to know this, but will say that I have only caught a few minutes here and there of Keeping Up With The Kardashians while channel surfing, and of course the ever present adds on whichever cable channel that is. |

				Point of light?

Now that the public memorial, is there hope that this will be the last day of ridiculous, incessant MJ coverage? |
