I don't understand why the Cambridge police have to go beating on black professors if there are privileged white kids dressed like that around. I mean, who's going to complain? They're asking for it.

Good Day

I wish to retain an attorney that will assist my company in collecting
funds that are owed to the company. My company has been in business for
over 5 years and we have not experienced any failure in business
relationship like the one which we come to you with. We happen to make a
purchase, paid for and accounted for by our company and the seller,
(company name) and the goods were supposed to be delivered to our port. It
has been over 5 months and we have not received delivery or notification
of re-adjustment in estimated time of arrival. We urge for our funds to be
reimbursed to us as soon as possible. We feel that the assistance of an
attorney will show and prove that we are very serious about the matter and
hope it will lead to a resolution and funds collected appropriately. We
have all the documents supporting the case and we are ready to present it
if we happen to go before the court of law to settle this matter. Please
advice on your fees and retainer agreement and any other information that
you would be needing to assess the case. Again, I wish to emphasize the
urgency of the case and urge you to take an earnest attitude towards the
case and I hope we maintain a stable business relationship.

Thank you and I await your prompt response.

William Rueyfa

My Next Trip

Another reason to visit Moldova - http://www.milestii-mici.md/eng (world's largest wine cellar with 2 million bottles). Although they probably have so many because Moldovan wine tastes like what one would expect.

I had some at the Minnesota State Fair last year. It was pretty good but overpriced. Easy peasy to make at home with a choice of recipes:

And when you're not in a chocolate mood (ha!), there is basic Pig Candy:

I re-watched Happiness this weekend. If you haven't seen this movie you really should. It's a wonderful story about modern relationships, and how hard they can be to maintain. Watch it as a double feature with the director's break out film "Welcome To The Dollhouse," a delightful examination of the problems associated with coming of age in modern suburbia.

It's hard to express how thrown I was by this post. Articulated thought, correct punctuation, and an apparent absence of guile or snark. It's so out of character for Hank to write this way that I was about to post "who are you and what have you done with Hank," but even that trite joke doesn't capture it. This post is the equivalent of the phone call declaring that "this is Flaming Dragon. Simple Jack is ours now."

Happiness (which I also really liked) is a movie that can seriously fuck with your head. That's what's happened here.

It's a set up. Do not... I repeat, do not, watch Happiness with the kids.

The last scene with the dog licking the railing is one of the nastiest moments ever committed to film.

But yes, it's a great movie.
