I can beat that. Try Bobcat Goldthwait's Sleeping Dogs Lie. It's actually supposed to be really funny. Disturbing as hell, but funny.
I assume you've seen Shakes the Clown, the Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies. A modern classic.

i watched Happiness thinking a writing teacher would say "too many tangents.
the balls of the movie- a guy makes a quirky low budget (Dollhouse) that makes bucks- so he is given a budget, a chance to move towards the mainstream, and he makes Happiness? you know some money people were looking at the early cuts of the film thinking "holy crap. daddy and a Tiger Beat?"

As I've said many times, you would need a microscope to detect the shit I give about professional athletics, but I am prepared to say that this is bullshit. PGA officials must have some paper-thin fucking skins, I'll tell you what. I think an NBA or NFL player has to basically threaten to rape an official's family before they'd get fined, right?

They put the final pairing on the last day of the tournament on the clock??? That is totally fucked up. Yeah, the fine is too.

It was silly to put the final pair on the clock in a tight battle and a fine is pretty much nothing to Tiger. But remember this is golf, the sport where the players are supposed to call penalties on themselves.

Particularly because it was the other golfer who was evidently disadvantaged.

remember, these guys make millions of dollars because of television and when the last pairing is so far back it screws up coverage.

My favorite part is her emphasis on her attendance record. I seriously did not know that there were normal colleges that kept attendance records as part of a student's transcript.

I'm familiar with low-end schools that charge huge amounts of money while making lots of promises about job placement, and tout the personal assistance they give to each student through their wonderful career placement centers. Sometimes that stuff is in writing, but often it's promises and representations made by the admissions reps -- whose entire job is to get students to enroll, because that's how these schools make their money. (In contrast to universities that bring in money through research grants, gifts, and investment returns, in addition to tuition.)
Sometimes the schools really do provide the services -- especially, the critical placement assistance -- that they promise, and sometimes they don't. The CNN story sounds like a pro per lawsuit brought by a student that may or may not have a real claim, and it's hard to tell because she's pro per and the article makes it sound like her only complaint is that she didn't get a job. A real lawyer might have made the lawsuit, and the story, more about her not getting the placement assistance she was promised.
In California at least, this sort of conduct by schools -- lots of promises, especially oral promises, by admissions reps -- led to a regulatory scheme that requires all kinds of disclosures to prospective students, with heavy emphasis on the %% of graduates in recent years who actually found jobs. (And, as in so many cases, those disclosures are often rendered worthless by the complete failure of most people to read things they have to sign.)

I'm not sure about this but I wouldn't be surprised if attendance records were required by the Dept of Ed, as part of the effort to make sure that all the govenment money used to support these schools, through student loans, actually has some benefit to the students.
