There's this thing called "language" that permits us to access other people's thoughts and not be trapped inside our own heads. Whether one gives a rat's shitty arse about what one learns through that mechanism is up to, well, oneself. If a notion is recockulous, for example, surely it can be rejected. But you spend a lot of time describing your internal monologue; I thought perhaps it would be as edifying to hear the shitty arse opinions of 1.57 billion idiots around the globe in addition to those of one in Seattle.

Keep trying. But for now, I'm scoring it Hank 1, Penske 0.

I wish I could remember exactly what it said, but I saw a sign in a park in Vancouver that seemed to basically be saying "equal opportunity toplessness in this park."

Why? I see very little relevancy in those 1.57B opinions to either what US policy should is or should be or at a micro level, my own existence. I put in the bucket I have marked, "Collaboration and consensus building are quite frankly overrated in my mind"

Yes, Vancouver is an enlightened city. Unfortunately the right wing moralists and left wing speech squashers have ruined America.
Did you eat at Vij?

No, your recommendation came only after I left, but regardless, the rest of my party, with rather bland Upper Midwest tastes, would not really have been game anyway.

The President of Bolivia probably agrees with you. Watch him (#10) on the soccer pitch (and skip ahead to the :30 mark if your patience has been sapped by growing up on MTV).

{Sigh.} Hank asked "Why do Muslims go apeshit when someone does [x] when Christians somehow manage to keep it together when someone does [something analogous to x]?" So as for giving a shit about the answer, take it up with Hank. If Hank's answer is "I just wanted to demonstrate Muslims are universally assholes; I didn't really care about Atticus's particulars," well, friend, then you and Hank deserve each other and I hope you and he live happily ever after and have lots of egomaniac logorrheic babies.

That's sad. Its one of the best Indian restaurants in the western world. Sheesh. PM next time in advance for g-dsake.
Also, fwiw, ftr, fd, my date the night I went there was str8outtathecornfields of Indiana-that's blandly midwestern, no? And she loved it. Also, the restaurant was great as a conversation starter later that night with an Indian woman who looked a lot like Padma at the Hotel Opus' bar..............are you taking notes here?!?!!?

His wife says that as long as he is okay with staying in the guestroom she's good with that scenario.

Presumably she was not a Minnesotan in her 60s (NTTAWWT), as were my traveling companions of the time.

For Sebby (again):
For what the Goldman economist apparently has to say.
