I love bike racing and women, two things that you hate. So on these topics, I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

This could just as easily read as follows (with Italian accent):

I love bike racing and have watched races in person here and in France. There are multiple races inside each race and the strategies and tactics are fascinating. If you're in the right spot, for the right event, there is a lot to see. I prefer time trials and the final stage from the perfect spot where you can watch attacks form.

Time trials and track racing.

eta: Obviously events and not tour-like, but the fact is there's no reason to do a multi-stage non-team event since bike-racing at its core is a team event.

eta: Yes, please do google that for me.
A girl came in 30th in Leadville last weekend with a time of 8:14:53. She was an hour and forty five minutes or so behind Lance, but the closest guy to Lance was almost a half-hour behind. I don't think that Lance should be the benchmark for "can they compete".

(I haven't seen my trainer yet to ask about it. He finished 90th at 8:47:27, but he's currently suffering from a bruised liver and hasn't been back to the gym since he got back from Colorado. I assume he crashed at some point and landed terribly wrong.)

That's not fair. I love women so much I'm making Hank get a pair of tits tattooed on his back.

By "can they compete" I meant "are they allowed to," not "can they keep up." Apparently the answer to the question I meant was yes.

And yeah, I agree that keeping up with Lance isn't the standard.

Great opening line to the article:

"A man with a tattoo of Britney Spears' name on his arm or neck allegedly stole a Chihuahua with pink earrings from a South Florida gay bar. "

A journalist waits his whole life to write a line like that.

Sure, but why did he feel it necessary to call out that it was a gay bar?

The dog's name was a tipoff as well. "Hudson Hayward Hemingway."
