I haven't seen Deford on real sports, but I am definitely ready to go hulk-fist on the snooze bar when he comes on NPR in the morning.

Good call! I would not have remembered it, and fortunately I did not have to. I still have the site in my bookmarks which I have copied from computer to computer over the years. The login part was a little more challenging, but it worked!

I read things like this and I thank the good lord I don't have the sports-giving-a-shit gene.
I never have this kind of agita over brisket, corned or smoked.

I kind of like Hank's Village People series.
As a tribute to John Hughes, he should do an 80's movie series.

I could see Hank as Michael Anthony Hall in either Breakfast Club or Sixteen Candles. It suits him.
