You need to move on to "shitpurse."

Also, the music is blasting so you can't say what you need to the salesperson, who isn't paying any attention to you anyway. Also, it stinks. Absolutely stinks.

And they wouldn't let me in the fitting room with my boyfriend even though I just wanted to see how his jeans fit and we had absolutely no intentions of having sex or whatever they thought we were going to get up to because it's the unsexiest atmosphere ever. Also it is filled with Eurotrash and tourists and kids from Jersey and Staten Island. I am never going back in there.
I try not to be on the same side of the street when I have to walk by their flagship store on 56th. There is no better example of how stupid tourists are than the fact that they will line up around the corner to get in that ridiculous store. Holy crap.

They make them in degrees. Mine is latex all the way through and soft and firm at the same time.* I would say it is between soft and firm, but more on the firm side.

You've never heard the word used until you've heard Tracey Millman use it in an argument.

The music is almost always overbearing, the talent level almost always really low and almost always, it makes drunk people act even dumber. I know there will be people who talk about their favorite spots that they go to just for the live music, but I don't do that. And whenever I'm in a place that happens to have live music, it blows.

It's just you. I go out to hear live music frequently, and it's often in bars, rather than clubs (which is what people are upset about closing in Houston). In fact, a jazz singer who I absolutely adore, plays at restaurants around town regularly. I bought her album on iTunes after hearing her on the radio. (iPod was out of juice.)

I happen to live in a town that prides itself on live music. Not all of it is great, but every once in a while, it's an absolute blast.

Well, the venues on Washington Avenue were the types of places you go specifically to hear someone play as opposed to going to the bar and someone happens to be playing that night.

My boyfriend is like you though. He refuses to listen to or seek out local bands on the basis that they're generally crappy. I chalk this up to his working in the music business for 15 or so years, 8 of them in e/o's live music town. He has to listen to crappy live music for work all the time. He'd rather not do it for fun.

The best examples are found on hotchickswithdouchebags.com.
