I have a lot of friends who are Dukies and yeah the doucheaura is high. Plus, as one who is Southern-adjacent, I acknowledge it has its own special Southern douche flavor, which increases the douchiness by a factor of 5.
It certainly should have been #1, but I also agree with the writer's reasoning.
That said, Texas at 24? Way too low.

A couple of SF/SV old skoolers are Duke undergrad or law. I have not found them douchey. They generously pick up checks in wine bars and Chinese restaurants, and they do not prattle on about scotch, which IMHO is the sine qua non of douchiness. OTOH, my undergrad school is on the list, so perhaps I'm too douchey to notice.

Dude. You're hanging out in wine bars and you call scotch drinking douchey??

Ah, well, that explains it then. Doucheiness is in the eye of the beholder, after all.
Neither of my schools are on the list, but I could definitely make a strong case for the university associated with my law school.

Domers aren't douches anyway. They're dorks.

it seemed to me, at first, that the beau's friend was being honest, and the beau lied about where he lived for some reason. Then we find out he does live there.
The friend was giving the beau a way out of being "stuck" with Peggy, right?
Is she supposed to be a dog? I didn't get that part.

Dude, she's old. Plus, she's not stylish. It is NYC, after all.

I'm somewhat torn on this commentary. On the one hand, I'm all for a media that can recognize beauty in multiple forms, including healthy normal-sized people.
On the other, I worry about what "people who look like me" means to many Americans in a country that is on average rather overweight. As someone who has recently tried to start living a healthier lifestyle (and whose body reflects years of having done otherwise), I'm not sure "you are all great just the way you are" is the right message. In other words, it is good thing to be able to accept yourself, but not necessarily a good thing to give up on self improvement.
That said, as a man I am not well-suited to evaluate (or, probably, comment). I think this sentiment is just completely foreign to a man:

If you're going to go this route, it is "broads is funny." Comedy 101, man.
