Remember this when she's on the ticket as VP

Bachmann again demonstrates that she is a delusional nutjob.

Yea, won't be voting for him, but that reason is the least of my concerns.

On another point, I don't know why Obama has to shut down LA traffic 2X per year to raise money. It's really fucking annoying. At least he's getting $40K a plate to do it.

Re: My God, you are an idiot.

Is Cain for real? I just saw a poll that was taken before his straw poll win that shows him leading the field.

No. Or at least I don't think so.

And their dicks are small and limp.

But based on my vicarious experiences, the Feds don't operate much differently than organized crime. Their tactics, while maybe in the grey area of legality, are certainly not moral or have anything to do with justice. They (or at least many of them) are very small people, whose primary cares are "winning," advancing their careers, and making up for their small limp dicks.*

I think Sebby made this point years ago, probably with more flair than I.
When you watched The Untouchables, I'll bet you walked out of the theater saying, that Kevin Costner is handsome and that Sean Connery talks nice, but I just could not stomach their immoral and unjust tactics.

I know I was never too keen on the Antitrust Division issuing Red Notices for "fugitives" who, in the old days, it knew would never be extradited from any country in the world.

These days there are, what two or three countries (probably should know precisely), where price fixing is a crime and extradition is theoretically possible, so at least they have a pretext now.

Where the middle is

Krugman said this, so it has to be wrong right? Does it matter if Greg Sargent (whoever that is) also said it?

But it sure sounds right to me. The Dems are pretty darn close to what the supposed centrists, especially the ones who claim they want a third party in the middle and/or a Bloomberg presidential run, say they want. Especially Obama.

You actually hit the nail on the head. There is no sense of calibration. They use the same grey area tactics in dealing with the little guy as they do with the mob.

If you were a centrist and you really thought we needed a centrist third party, the way to move in that direction would be to start a party and create a platform and then to endorse D & R candidates who supported your positions. Throw some weight around to get people to move to the center.

Unfortunately, the centrists we actually have are useless preeners who are more interested in posing as centrists than in actually accomplishing anything. Thus, they position themselves between the two parties but can't actually bring themselves to draw distinctions and make choices between them.

No one doesn't like those tactics when they're used on bad guys. It's only a problem when they're used on one's friends.

Or you do what Clinton and Gore did in the 1990s, and Tony Blair did in the UK. You start a movement to move one of the two parties to the center.

We already did that, but somehow most of the country missed it. It's weird, really.

Okay, maybe it isn't so weird. We have many "serious people" who are so invested in "pox on both their houses" as the means of maintaining Serious Person status that clearly whatever the Dems say must be a far left policy.

ETA: Removed the shout out to Sebby as he's kind of moved off his old "pox on both their houses" shtick.

Yeah, because all prosecutions are against guys like Al Capone.

In the wake of 2008's banking crash, since it sounds like we're talking purported crimes of a white collar money changer pursuasion, I suspect any number of people, including any number of ultra-righty tea partiers, would have been quite happy seeing your friends and Sebby's fried like green tomatos. And cheered every grey tactic used to get them there.

Exactly: Qualms about the tactics go away if you think they're going after bad guys.
