Gilt and Fashion Sales

Since the downturn, I have been spending more time on sites like Gilt, Rue la la, HauteLook and even ideeli, which are the online equivalent to Last Call @ Neiman Marcus . . . i.e., the greatest store ever (there is seriously nothing better than picking up a fabulous $600 dress for 75% off, whether or not we're in a recession).

Gilt is supposed to be the best of the bunch, and I prefer it because it features more of the brands I actually wear (they are having a Milly sale right now and had a VW lavender label sale last week).
WWD had a blurb about Gilt this afternoon sponsoring shows for Alexander Wang, Peter Som, Philip Lim, and Rodarte during NY fashion week, which, frankly, endears them to me even more.

There is a "waiting list" for Gilt although I don't think that it takes long to get in off of it, but I have a couple of invites, so pm me if you are interested in jumping the line.

Hey, on a totally unrelated note, I'm thinking up a song parody and I can't think of a good rhyme for bourgeoisie.

So it's good I deleted the line about shopping those sites in my unending desire for more cocktail dresses, as I can never have enough with all the parties and events going on?

I don't see how that's helpful for me and my unrelated rhyming issues.

Just because you hear that in your head all day doesn't make it rhyme.

Parents of adolescents and pre-adolescents are the people who shop at Hollister and Aeropostale. People your age* who shop there should really just shoot themselves.

New Cult Canon? Don't they mean Old Cult Canon? Just because it wasn't released to DVD for 13 years doesn't mean it was only recently discovered by the hipsters.

greatest drop from 1st flick to next? i say yes. slacker was so innovative on a few levels and D&C, while funny, was so normal.

can one tailor that format?
There is a way to remove it. Go to the options menu and change the Signature setting. I believe that will fix it.

Kevin Smith does not like what you're implying about Clerks.
